Completion Purification Ritual Held at Omiya Shrine's Lantern Hall
The renovation work on the Lantern Hall at Omiya Shrine, which has been underway since last month, has been completed, and a "completion purification ritual" was held. Members of the council, led by the Mayor of Yamaga, attended the ceremony, where the completion of the renovation - the first in approximately 60 years - was announced and the new Lantern Hall was unveiled.
The interior has an atmosphere evoking "night", with a predominantly black colour scheme, much like during the Lantern Festival. Please do come and see the new Lantern Hall.
Furthermore, this year's new lanterns will be unveiled on 16 August. It appears that the new lanterns will be on display free of charge from 8.00 pm on 16 August. We hope you look forward to this as well.
